On July 22, 2009 I had an adjustable gastric band (lapband) surgically placed for weight loss. After living a lifetime of gaining, losing, gaining more, losing, and gaining even more, it was time to bring in a tool that would help me get my weight down and keep it down.

Yes, it was chocolate.. a nice bit after my buffalo burger.
And as for hotels, Courtyard by Marriott... Cherry Creek... $50 on Priceline (plus tax). Got a $20 car (plus tax) too.
I once went on a cruise and had a towel monkey hanging from my curtains. It was so precious.
